Iraq chairs a meeting of representatives of member states of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons

The Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib chaired a meeting in Baghdad of representatives of member states of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The meeting discussed representatives of the diplomatic missions of Britain, Canada, Australia, Finland, South Korea, the Netherlands and Japan, as well as the director and a number of members of the Monitoring Authority National themes that will be included in the Convention Conference attended the use of chemical weapons for member states, which will be held in The Hague on the twenty-ninth of this November. The Minister of Education stressed during the meeting Iraq’s support and commitment to international partnerships that reduce the risks of using prohibited weapons and the keenness of the Iraqi government and its specialized technical institutions for cooperation and understanding With the international community, expressing its support for participation and contribution to achieving peace. Representatives of Member States welcomed the visions and proposals presented by the Minister of Education regarding the importance of capacity-building for countries, intensifying the awareness aspect in combating the use of chemical weapons, and developing scientific and educational programs to confront these dangers.
