A training course at the College of Agriculture on laboratory safety

The College of Agriculture, University of Karbala, held a three-day training course entitled (Laboratory Safety and Laboratory Analysis Methods). The course aimed to identify the methods of laboratory analysis, how to deal with chemicals and methods of protection from them, and to identify the metallic elements and materials needed for the purpose of measurement. The course lasted for three days, where the first day witnessed a lecture on the theoretical aspect of laboratory safety and methods of dealing with accidents. On the second day, there was a practical lecture on the application of analytical methods. The third day included a discussion of how to operate and deal with devices, and to identify the extraction device and materials needed for work. Present at the session were both A.M.D. Harith Mahmoud Aziz and Dr. Zaid Khalil Kazem and Dr. Sabreen Sabah Toman and M. Ashwaq Hussam Ibrahim The course was attended by a group of teachers of the Faculty of Agriculture and postgraduate and primary students.
