A scientific study at the University of Karbala discusses the effect of the source and level of fertilizer on the growth and yield of sunflowers

A master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture at the University of Karbala examined the effect of the source and level of phosphate fertilizer and spraying with Gujarat extract on some indicators of the growth and yield of sunflower.
The thesis entitled (The effect of the source and level of phosphate fertilizer and spraying with Gujarat extract on some indicators of growth and yield of sunflower) by the student (Hadeel Hamza Ali) included four chapters, namely the introduction, review of sources, materials and working methods, results and discussion.
The study aimed at the importance of using phosphate fertilizers with different source and level of addition in feeding sunflower plants, as well as the necessity of spraying with plant extracts, especially Gujarat extract because it contains effective compounds.
The study concluded that the fertilizer used significantly contributed to the positive effect on growth, yield and quality characteristics of sunflower plants, as well as reducing the use of fertilizers.
