The Department of Field Crops at the College of Agriculture – University of Kerbala organized a scientific seminar entitled:
“Challenges and Technologies in Improving the Productivity of Field Crops under Climate Change Conditions,”
as part of a series of scientific activities aimed at enhancing research and keeping pace with advancements in the field of sustainable agriculture.
The seminar was delivered by PhD student Sukaina Sameer Mustafa, and addressed the most pressing challenges facing field crop productivity amid rapidly changing climate conditions. It also discussed ways to confront these challenges through the application of cutting-edge technologies and modern scientific approaches in crop improvement.
The seminar witnessed notable attendance by faculty members and postgraduate students. The presentation was distinguished by its scientific rigor and reliance on recent, peer-reviewed studies published in reputable international journals. It also featured modern presentation techniques, including statistical and analytical tables that demonstrated the impact of climatic factors on crop performance and the effectiveness of proposed technologies in improving productivity efficiency.
At the conclusion of the seminar, attendees praised the presenter for her outstanding academic level and her ability to simplify complex concepts and present them in a clear and systematic manner. They also emphasized the importance of continuing such scientific activities to advance agricultural research and support the agricultural sector in Iraq.
