A master’s thesis at the University of Kerbala discusses the effect of adding citrus peel powder on the productive and physiological traits of broiler chickens.

A master’s thesis was discussed at the College of Agriculture – Department of Animal Production, University of Kerbala, focusing on the effect of adding citrus peel powder on some productive and physiological traits of broiler chickens. The research was conducted by graduate student Naseer Habeeb Alawi, under the supervision of specialized faculty members.

The thesis, titled “The Effect of Adding Citrus Peel Powder on Some Productive and Physiological Traits of Broiler Chickens,” comprised seven main chapters: abstract, introduction, literature review, materials and methods, results, conclusions and recommendations, and references.

The study aimed to evaluate the impact of bitter orange (citrus) peels on improving productive traits, such as increasing body weight and enhancing growth parameters, as well as improving physiological, immunological, and histological indicators in broiler chickens.

Based on the findings, the thesis concluded that the addition of bitter orange peel powder contributed to:
• Increased body weight and improved growth rates in broiler chickens.
• Enhanced physiological and immunological traits.

The researcher recommended adopting this dietary supplement as a natural and safe alternative in poultry feed to improve productive performance.
