The regular meeting of the College Council was held today at the College of Agriculture, University of Kerbala, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein, Dean of the College, and in the presence of the heads of scientific departments, the administrative and academic assistants, and the Head of the Quality Assurance Division.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean welcomed the attendees and commended their efforts in advancing the academic process and improving the performance level of the college. The meeting included discussions on several important topics, including preparations for the upcoming semester, updates on the progress of final exams, and reviewing the scientific plans of the departments and the modernization of curricula in line with labor market requirements. Additionally, the ongoing developments regarding the organization of a scientific conference were discussed.
The agenda also covered academic evaluation files, quality assurance, and the research plans for the upcoming academic year. Furthermore, the Council explored ways to support students and encourage their participation in scientific and research activities.
In conclusion, the Dean emphasized the importance of integration and collaboration among all departments to achieve academic excellence and strengthen the standing of the College of Agriculture both locally and internationally. He also stressed the need for strict adherence to timelines for completing all assigned tasks.
