Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, a football championship was held for the college students as part of the student activities, amid an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and fair competition among the participating teams.
The tournament witnessed remarkable competition that reflected the spirit of cooperation and sportsmanship among the students. It concluded with the crowning of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering team as the champion of the tournament, following an outstanding performance and a high technical level. The team dedicated this victory and the championship cup to the department’s administration in appreciation of its continuous support and encouragement to the students.
For his part, the Dean of the College praised the efforts made by the organizing committee and the participating students, affirming that such activities contribute to strengthening team spirit and a sense of belonging to the college, as well as supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 related to good health and well-being, and Goal 4 concerning quality education, by fostering values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among students.
