Within the framework of the participation and institutional reform pillar, the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Gender Professional Gap in the Private Sector.”
The workshop was held in person by the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Agriculture on Monday, 2/2/2026, with the participation of a number of academic staff, employees, and individuals interested in community affairs.
The workshop aimed to highlight the challenges faced by women in employment, promotion, and wages; to promote the principle of equal opportunities and professional equity between women and men; and to raise awareness of the importance of labor policies that support equality and non-discrimination.
This workshop comes as part of the university’s efforts to support a culture of professional justice and to enhance institutional awareness of gender equality issues, in line with national sustainable development goals and the establishment of a fair and inclusive work environment.
