The College of Agriculture at the University of Karbala organized a training course on the basics of publishing in scientific journals.
The course aimed to learn how to select solid scientific journals within international databases and publish in them, and avoid predatory, hijacked, and commercial journals.
The lecturers stressed the importance of publishing in journals accredited by the Ministry of Education and avoiding predatory journals.
The course participants called for holding seminars, workshops and other training courses to increase the level of awareness among researchers to avoid predatory and hijacked journals and to reduce time during the publishing process.
