The College of Agriculture, at the University of Karbala, organized a training course on (the effect of bushes accompanying wheat and barley crops and controlling them) with the participation of researchers and specialists from universities or university colleges. The work course, which was held under the slogan (identifying the most dangerous bushes), aimed to (find the best solutions and find Better ways to control bush growth and increase agricultural production)
With the participation of the lecturer: Eng. Badr Abbas Abdel Ali Al-Yasari for the first day, Eng. Nawras Engineer Nimah Jawad for the second day, and Eng. Alaa Hussein Murad for the third day in a row.
The course aims to identify the different growing bushes in grain crop fields, their various effects and most important benefits, and to determine ways to control them without affecting production and avoiding their negative effects, thus achieving high productivity for various types of crops. This has been applied practically to different grain fields.
Each of the researchers in the course recommended holding courses, seminars, and other scientific workshops concerned with this field, cultivating varieties resistant to the growing bush with thin and broad evergreen, transformed, and annual leaves, revitalizing the work of plant quarantine for the agricultural sector to control foreign plants and invasive seeds, and not using the various bush ornamental plants.
