As part of the collaboration and coordination between the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala and the Directorate of Agriculture in the Holy Karbala Governorate—and in alignment with the goals of sustainable development and practical training for students—a scientific field trip was conducted for first-year students of the Food Science Department. The trip was organized in cooperation with the Hussainiya Agriculture Division to attend and participate in an extension seminar titled “Orchard Management and Pest Control Practices.” The seminar took place at a farm in the region.
During the visit, students were introduced to the process of organizing an agricultural extension seminar and learned about the crucial role of agricultural extension services in transferring modern technologies to farmers and addressing their challenges through scientific research to find suitable solutions.
These activities aim to enhance the quality of education, scientific research, and agricultural services.
