University of Kerbala Holds a Seminar on the Impact of Growth Regulators and Lighting on the Production of Metabolic Compounds in Tarragon Plants

The College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala, Department of Horticulture and Landscape Planting , organized a scientific seminar for graduate students titled “Study of the Effect of Growth Regulators, Light Type, and Triacontanol Compound on the Establishment of Tarragon Plant Cultures and Their Induction to Produce Metabolic Compounds in Vitro.”

The seminar aimed to highlight the latest scientific research in the field of plant tissue culture and the stimulation of secondary metabolite production, which is of great importance in the pharmaceutical and food industries. It also discussed the impact of various factors, such as growth regulators, triacontanol concentrations, and lighting types, on improving the growth of tarragon plants and enhancing their production of active compounds.

A number of researchers and academics specializing in horticulture and landscape engineering participated in the seminar, where specialized scientific presentations were delivered, followed by in-depth discussions on the preliminary findings of ongoing studies in this field.

This scientific event aligns with the College of Agriculture’s commitment to promoting research and providing a stimulating academic environment for students and researchers, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the development of innovative scientific solutions that support the agricultural sector.
