University of Kerbala Conducts Routine Inspection of Beehives

Under the direction of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, and the supervision of the Head of the Plant Protection Department, Dr. Yasser Nasser Hussein, the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala carried out a routine inspection of its beehives as part of its scientific and research activities.

The inspection was conducted by Lecturer Ali Abdul-Redha Haidar, the college apiary supervisor, with the assistance of agricultural engineer Mohammed Shaheed.

This inspection is part of a regular monitoring program aimed at tracking honeybee colony development and ensuring they receive the necessary nutrients, especially during winter, when hives are more vulnerable to environmental challenges. The process included evaluating hive conditions, assessing colony progress, and providing essential care to maintain bee health and productivity.
