Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Agriculture, University of Kerbala, organized a specialized training course entitled “Nutrient Solutions and How to Prepare Them”, supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Nadhim Farhoud, Head of the Department of Field Crops.
The course lectures were delivered by:
• Professor Dr. Suzan Mohammed Khudair
• Assistant Lecturer Nada Mohammed Fadhel
• Agricultural Engineer Amal Taher Ouda
The course focused on two main areas:
- Theoretical Aspect: Covered the study of molarity, normality, percentage concentration, and parts per million (ppm) solutions.
- Practical Aspect: Included training on chlorophyll measurement using a spectrophotometer.
The course aimed to enhance the skills of researchers and undergraduate and postgraduate students in preparing nutrient solutions and performing accurate chemical calculations, enabling them to apply this knowledge in practical experiments and scientific research.
A number of researchers and students participated in the course and expressed their great benefit from the scientific and practical content presented.
