The Department of Animal Production Finalizes Preparations for the Launch of Three Vital Projects to Support Scientific Research and Production

The Department of Animal Production at the College of Agriculture, University of Kerbala, is finalizing preparations for the anticipated launch of three vital and significant projects aimed at supporting scientific research, enhancing students’ practical skills, and boosting the department’s production capabilities.

These projects include:
• Hydroponic Barley Production Unit: This unit will represent a qualitative addition by providing alternative and sustainable animal feed. It will also serve as a research platform for students to study the feasibility and application of various sprouting techniques.
• Intensive Fish Farming Unit: This project aims to provide an ideal environment for scientific research in the field of intensive fish farming, enabling graduate students to conduct experiments and studies focused on improving fish productivity and quality.
• Poultry Research Facility for Graduate Students: This facility will offer an integrated infrastructure for conducting specialized scientific research in poultry farming, allowing graduate students to carry out their advanced research projects in this vital field.

The completion of these projects is the result of continuous efforts by the department’s administration and faculty members, reflecting the department’s commitment to providing a modern educational and research environment that supports the academic process and contributes to serving the local community and the agricultural sector.

These projects are expected to significantly enrich the practical and applied learning experience for students, provide outstanding research opportunities for graduate students, and support the department’s efforts in achieving sustainable development in the field of animal production.
