The Department of Plant Protection at the College of Agriculture at the University of Karbala discussed the master thesis tagged (the effect of different pesticides and treatment methods on the resistance of the scale insect Parlatoria blanchardi Homoptera: Diaspididae on palm trees in the Ghammas district in the Qadisiyah governorate), by the student Alaa Naim Abdel Wahed, on Monday 6/21 -2021, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Thamer Karim Khudair Al-Janabi, his scientific assistant, and a good group of professors of the Faculty of Agriculture and other guests. The study dealt with the nutritional preference and population density of P. blanchardi on four palm cultivars and the biological evaluation of the efficacy of the commercial biological preparations Antario KAB and Naturalis-L and the two chemicals TIAM 25 WG and IMIdor 200SL on the scale insect P. blanchardi in laboratory conditions in addition to a study of better compatibility Chemical pesticides with the two biocides Antario KAB and Naturalis-L by calculating the percentage of inhibition in the laboratory as well as the field biological evaluation of the efficacy of different control methods (injection, watering, spraying) of the neonicotinoid group insecticides are TIAM 25 WG and IMIDOR 200SL.
