The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research participated in a workshop in cooperation with the UNESCO office in Iraq and the European Union on the guidelines for technical and vocational education and training professionals in Iraq to develop or revise competency-based curricula. Directors-General, experts and specialists to review the achievement of the first phase of the TVET reform project, and how to build on it, to consider how to make maximum use of the qualifications framework and recent developments in the Bologna process, and to enhance understanding of the guidelines for TVET professionals in Iraq with a view to developing or reviewing Competency-based curricula, as well as tools developed by UNESCO to implement the Technical and Vocational Qualifications Framework in Iraq. The workshop focused on suggestions and ideas from specialists on how to best direct their efforts with UNESCO’s contribution and associated TVET projects. The participants expressed their appreciation to the organizers of the workshop, which provided an opportunity to Clarify the roles of stakeholders in how to apply professional guidelines and tools at the national level.
