The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib, received the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Walid Mohamed Ismail, and they discussed the results of the agreements between the two countries in the field of university education and scientific and academic coordination. The two sides discussed a number of cooperation files, including facilitating entry and residence visa procedures for Iraqi students, scholarships provided by Egyptian universities, reducing study fees, and the twinning project between Baghdad and Cairo universities. The agreed cooperation, stressing the necessity of opening an Iraqi cultural attaché in Cairo to follow up on student affairs and facilitate university admission procedures. Iraq and its institutions and its keenness to supplement the joint academic work space between the two countries with everything that serves the two brotherly peoples.
