The University of Karbala, represented by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Bassem Khalil Al-Saidi, held a memorial stand for the soul of the slain martyr, the Director of Karbala Governorate Municipality, Engineer Abeer Salim Nasser Al-Khafaji, with the participation of professors and employees. The stand included the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah on the soul of the martyr and a statement in which the participants expressed their condemnation and denunciation of the heinous act that the martyr was subjected to. During his work in the province, stressing that Al-Khafaji worked with the University of Karbala in implementing a number of vital projects that contributed to the development of the university environment. The participants demanded that the criminal take the just retribution, expressing their grief and condolences, asking God Almighty to have mercy on the slain martyr and dwell in his vast gardens.
