The University of Karbala, represented by the President of the University, Prof. Bassem Khalil Al-Saidi, signed a joint scientific cooperation mechanism with the Northern Technical University represented by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Scientific Assistant of the University of Karbala Prof. Dr. Najm Abdul-Hussein and the Assistant Administrative Prof. Dr. Akram Al-Yasiri. The agreement aims for cooperation between the two parties in the fields of training, consulting and research, in addition to exchanging scientific and research experiences between the two parties. This agreement stems from the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which include the cooperation of educational institutions and support for integration policies between them. The two parties stressed the expansion of cooperation in all fields and the provision of an appropriate scientific environment that serves both parties in scientific progress and development. Al-Attar also clarified the reality of the Northern Technical University, which is based in the governorate of Mosul, and indicated the process of restoring scientific facilities and rehabilitating them after the exceptional circumstances that the governorate went through and the efforts that were expended to restore the scientific life of the university and the governorate. Among its scholars and intellectuals, especially the professors of the Northern Technical University, who are considered among the most important who took the initiative to restore life to this dear province.
