Based on the principle of scientific cooperation between the faculties of the various Iraqi universities and the promotion of the exchange of scientific and research experiences, Assistant Professor Dr. Manal Abdel Wahed, Teaching Assistant at the College of Agriculture – University of Karbala, participated in a discussion committee for the master’s student (Ruqayya Shamkhi Jaber) for her thesis tagged (preparing envelopes supported by nanoscale selenium and studying its impact on Preservation and Food Safety) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Riyad Shamkhi Al-Mousawi, and after extensive discussion, the researcher was creative in defending her message. The letter was accepted by a decision of the committee that consisted of: Prof. Dr. Khadija Sadeq Jaafar, University of Basra, Chairman, Prof. Dr. Manal Abdul Wahed University of Karbala, Member Prof. Dr. Ohoud Colonel Radi University of Kufa Member Prof. Dr. Riyad Shamkhi Al-Mousawi, University of Kufa Member and Supervisor Steak-Perker) with three treatments for each product and stored in cold storage at refrigerator temperature (4 °C ˚), and a toxicity test for SeONPs as an antioxidant was conducted by DPPH assay. The results showed that selenium nanoparticles have the ability to remove free radicals. The more nanoparticles, the less toxicity.
