Based on the directives of the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Thamer Karim Khudair Al-Janabi, the esteemed esteemed on the necessity of vigorous follow-up of the summer training for third-stage students in the departments of the faculty, the scientific supervisors professors in the departments of animal production, horticulture and garden engineering visited the summer training sites in the Karbala Agriculture Directorate, the Agriculture Division in Al Hoceima and the Dispensary The veterinarian in Nasiriyah Governorate – Qalaat Sukkar, in addition to the Musayyib Agriculture Directorate, to see the performance of the trainee students and to meet with the officials at the work sites. As part of the visit to the yellow corn fields in the Hindiya Sedt Agriculture Division, the lecturer in the Horticulture and Gardening Department, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hadi Obeid, gave a valuable lecture on the corn crop, in which he explained that the corn crop is an important strategic crop and is considered and ranked third after wheat and barley, and there are many varieties Including yellow maize, white maize, maize and maize, where he explained to them several basic concepts about the characteristics and importance of this crop. The supervising professors were keen to direct the directors of the departments to intensify efforts in training students by developing scientific programs and plans for students to benefit from during the training period.
