As part of the student and sports activities of the College of Agriculture, University of Karbala, and under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Thamer Karim Khudair, the five-a-side football tournament was concluded on Tuesday, 11/7/2023, which was organized and supervised by Assistant Lecturer Ali Hussein Ali, responsible for the Student Activities Unit in the College of Agriculture, which was held on the land The closed sports hall in Al-Husseiniyah district. The closing ceremony was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Kazem Muhammad Abdullah, Head of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, representing the honorable Dean, and the teacher, Dr. Haider Qasim Baqir, representing the Department of Animal Production, and a number of faculty members at the college.
The final match between the Departments of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering and the Department of Animal Production ended with the victory of the latter with a score of (7 seven) goals against (5 five) goals for the Horticulture team. After the end of the match, prizes were distributed, namely the championship cup for the first winner and the second winner, medals of honor for all players of both teams, and shields and various gifts for the best goalkeeper. Goalkeeper, best defender, best player and top scorer in the tournament. The representatives of the Brigadier General praised the work of the organizing committee and appreciated all the efforts that led to the success of this tournament.
