The Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering at the College of Agriculture, University of Karbala, discussed a master’s thesis entitled “Response of two varieties of pomegranate seedlings to spraying with seaweed extract and the addition of Humax in some chemical and morphological growth traits.” The thesis included the title (Response of two varieties of pomegranate seedlings to spraying with seaweed extract) Adding Humax to Some Chemical and Morphological Growth Characteristics (by student Nisreen Kazem Ali Al-Mayahi) has four chapters: the introduction, review of references, materials and methods of work, results, and discussion. If the message aims to compare which of the two varieties is better in terms of growth characteristics and response to the treatments used. Determine the best concentration of seaweed extract and Humax and its effect in improving vegetative and root growth indicators and chemical content in leaves. Choosing the best interventions from the variety, marine algae extract, and Humax to reduce time, effort, and cost and accelerate the growth of pomegranate seedlings so that they are ready to be transferred to the permanent location. I also concluded that the superiority of the Wonderful variety over the Salimi variety in most of the characteristics is a good indicator of its suitability to the conditions of the central region of Iraq, including the Holy Governorate of Karbala. The letter also recommended multiplying seedlings of the Wonderful variety for the purpose of potentially increasing tree planting. The use of seaweed extract at a concentration of 3 ml L-1 and the addition of Humax at a concentration of 0.50 g L-1 in order to improve the chemical and vegetative growth characteristics of the leaves and root characteristics of the Wonderful and Salimi pomegranate varieties.
