The University of Kerbala has secured sixth place nationally among Iraqi public universities in the 2024 Iraqi University Ranking, announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The university president, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, commended the efforts of the university staff for their exceptional dedication in achieving progress and excellence. He emphasized that this success should serve as motivation to continue striving for higher ranks in both local and international classifications.
A total of 100 public and private institutions were evaluated based on diverse criteria to measure the quality of their performance. These criteria were distributed across 10 key pillars: institutional accreditation standards (20%), global rankings (10%), research effectiveness (35%), educational laboratories (5%), assessment of academic and scientific status and compliance standards (5%), faculty members (4%), awards (5%), diversity and international collaboration (10%), the student sports club (3%), and occupational health and safety (3%).
