
The College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala organized a scientific field trip to the Al-Waha Poultry Feed Factory in Karbala Governorate. The visit was conducted under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, and supervised by the Head of the Animal Production Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Fadhel Hussein.
The visit aimed to enhance the practical and applied knowledge of students by exposing them to the latest developments in the poultry feed industry, which is considered one of the key pillars of the agricultural sector.
This visit is part of a series of regular field activities organized by the College of Agriculture to prepare students and equip them with practical knowledge and experience, enabling them to keep pace with modern advancements in the agricultural field and enhancing their skills to meet labor market demands.
The Dean of the College emphasized the importance of such scientific visits in bridging the gap between theoretical and practical knowledge, highlighting the college’s ongoing efforts to provide educational opportunities that prepare qualified agricultural professionals capable of contributing to the development of Iraq’s agricultural sector.
The Head of the Animal Production Department praised the positive interaction of students during the visit, noting that such activities help broaden students’ scientific horizons and develop their practical skills.
It is worth mentioning that the Al-Waha Poultry Feed Factory is one of the leading facilities in the region’s feed production industry, offering high-quality products that meet the needs of poultry farmers, making it an important destination for scientific visits and training programs
