University of Kerbala Explores Academic Collaboration with the Dutch Organization ICRA

Under the directives of University President, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, and in pursuit of academic development and scientific cooperation, the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, along with Professor Dr. Adnan Abdul-Jalil Lahouf, held an online meeting with Ms. Marrit Kross, the head of the Dutch organization ICRA for scientific training and development, on March 14, 2025.

The meeting was part of the Orange Knowledge Programme, focusing on strengthening collaboration between the College of Agriculture and ICRA, particularly following the success of the TMT-Iraq project in capacity building for water experts and integrated entrepreneurship.

During the discussion, the Dean emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation through new training initiatives that integrate scientific research with climate-smart agricultural curricula. In response, Ms. Kross expressed ICRA’s full commitment to supporting and sustaining this productive academic collaboration, contributing to knowledge exchange and agricultural development in Iraq. Notably, the University of Kerbala team has previously participated in successful training programs under this partnership.
