
In the presence of Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, President of the University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Jasim Aidan Al-Mamouri, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Karim, Dean of the College of Agriculture, the University of Kerbala has begun the construction of the College of Agriculture Nursery in the Fayha area within the University City.
Objectives of the Nursery
The nursery aims to:
• Support scientific research and provide practical training for students at the College of Agriculture.
• Enhance plant production and create an environment suitable for modern agricultural experiments.
• Contribute to the agricultural sector’s development by providing high-quality seedlings, fruit-bearing trees, and local and imported plants.
Statements and Significance
During the visit, University President Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali emphasized the importance of this project in strengthening the college’s infrastructure and supporting scientific research. He highlighted that the nursery would serve as an advanced scientific center, contributing to the community and agricultural development of the province.
On his part, Dean of the College of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Karim praised the efforts in executing the project, confirming that the nursery would provide outstanding training and research opportunities for students and researchers. He also mentioned that it would be a significant addition to the college’s academic and research journey.
