Following the direction of Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Karim, Dean of the College of Agriculture, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Agriculture / Kerbala University organized a humanitarian visit to the Elderly Home in Kerbala. The visit aimed to promote human values and reinforce the principle of social solidarity.
The delegation included Dr. Harith Mahmoud Aziz, Head of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, and Mrs. Shahlaa Adel, Head of the Human Rights Unit, along with a group of professors. They held dialogue sessions with the elderly, listened to their opinions and stories, and provided emotional and moral support to alleviate their burdens.
At the end of the visit, the delegation presented valuable gifts to the elderly to meet their daily needs, as a gesture of appreciation and respect. This initiative was met with great appreciation by the administrators and residents of the home, who expressed their gratitude and thanks to the College of Agriculture for this humanitarian gesture, which reflects the spirit of cooperation and social responsibility.
