
As part of the cultural season activities at Kerbala University, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Karim, Dean of the College of Agriculture, the College organized a workshop titled “Analyzing the Faculty Performance Evaluation Form for 2024-2025: Criteria, Challenges, and Development Perspectives,” presented by Asst. Lecturer Mohammed Maitham Abdul Hai.
The workshop addressed the criteria for evaluating academic performance of faculty members, highlighting key aspects such as educational quality, scientific research, and interaction with students. It also discussed the main challenges faced in the evaluation process, such as data collection mechanisms, the accuracy of evaluation forms, and ways to enhance transparency in assessments.
The session also explored potential ways to develop the evaluation process, such as integrating modern technologies in data analysis and adopting international standards to ensure a more accurate and objective evaluation. These improvements would contribute to enhancing the quality of higher education and boosting the academic performance of faculty members.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a discussion session was opened to review development proposals and ideas aimed at improving the evaluation mechanisms, in alignment with the university’s objectives for academic excellence and ensuring the quality of education.
