Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Field Crops, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Nadhim Farhoud, the College of Agriculture organized a field-based practical lecture in the Field Crops Farm.
The lecture was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Nawras Neama Jawad and included the following activities:
- A practical explanation on how to divide and prepare experimental units
- Training students on how to prepare a suitable seedbed
- Clarifying the appropriate planting dates for summer crops
- Highlighting the importance of proper planting timing
- Explaining the types of fertilizer applications suitable for each crop
Students from the first and third stages participated in this activity, which emphasized the practical and applied aspects of crop cultivation. The session aimed to enhance students’ field skills and effectively link theoretical knowledge with real-world agricultural practice.
