University of Kerbala Strengthens Partnership with Agricultural Sector through High-Level Field Visit to Sahara Karbala Agricultural Production Company

In a significant step towards strengthening ties between academic institutions and the private sector, the College of Agriculture at the University of Karbala organized a high-level field visit to the Sahara Karbala Agricultural Production Company. The visiting delegation was headed by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, accompanied by a distinguished group of faculty members from various scientific departments.

The delegation was received by Eng. Ahmed Kadhim Habib, Eng. Haider Hamza Alwan, Eng. Mustafa Ali Shakir, and Dr. Ali Imad Jaleel.

The meeting featured an in-depth discussion on prospects for scientific and practical collaboration, particularly in the fields of advanced agricultural research, development of plant and animal production technologies, and opening opportunities for hands-on training for undergraduate and postgraduate students — in line with the rapid advancements in this vital sector.

Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem emphasized the importance of building effective bridges of cooperation between the university and agricultural institutions. He praised the remarkable technological progress observed in all departments of the company, considering it a successful national model of agricultural innovation and development at the level of Iraq and the holy city of Karbala.

For their part, the representatives of Sahara Karbala warmly welcomed the visit and expressed their full readiness to support academic and practical initiatives that contribute to the development of agricultural competencies and meet the needs of the local market efficiently.
