The College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala organized a training course titled “Plants Suitable for the University Environment – Propagation Methods and Care” with the participation of faculty members: Dr. Sabah Abdul-Falih Al-Rubaie (Assistant Professor), Dr. Hussein Ali Baqir (Lecturer), and Mr. Buraier Kamaz (Assistant Lecturer).
The course aimed to introduce participants to the insect infestations affecting plants grown in the gardens of the University of Kerbala. It also focused on distinguishing between insect damage, fungal diseases, and nutrient deficiencies by identifying the visible symptoms on plants.
In addition, the course addressed the types of fertilizers used for plant nutrition and highlighted the effectiveness of foliar fertilizers in treating plant weakness and poor root development.
