Inclusion of the Journal of Kerbala for Agricultural Sciences in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

With the support of the President of the University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid, and the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein, the Journal of Kerbala for Agricultural Sciences, issued by the College of Agriculture / University of Kerbala, has been officially indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), one of the most important global databases for peer-reviewed open access journals. This achievement marks a qualitative step that enhances the journal’s visibility and international academic presence, while expanding the accessibility of its research to readers and scholars worldwide.

In a statement, the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdul-Jalil Lahoof, expressed his appreciation for the continuous support of the journal’s editorial board and the College of Agriculture in achieving global indexation. He further noted that the journal has consistently worked towards inclusion in reputable international platforms and databases, highlighting its previous indexing in AGRIS, a database of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), as well as in the Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals (IASJ) platform. These steps have played a vital role in strengthening quality standards and openness. He added that the journal’s inclusion in DOAJ paves the way for future indexing in other international databases and repositories, God willing.
