The College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala organized a seminar titled “Allelopathic Compounds and Their Impact on the Ecological System of Plants and Soil,” presented by the student Safana Mansour Huwar Al-Imarah under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abbas Ali Hussein Al-Aamery.

The seminar discussed the role of allelopathic compounds—substances produced by plants and microbes—in regulating ecological interactions among plant species and their effects on the soil and agricultural systems.
It aimed to highlight the importance of these compounds in controlling harmful weeds and improving soil fertility.
The seminar concluded by emphasizing the need to adopt allelopathic compounds as a natural and safe option that promotes sustainable agricultural production.
