The Department of Field Crops at the College of Agriculture, University of Kerbala, organized a training workshop entitled “Sterilization and Methods of Sterilization in Scientific Laboratories,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Zaid Khalil Kazem and Lecturer Dr. Uday Hamed Al-Tamimi.
The workshop discussed the importance of sterilization in laboratories and its role in ensuring accurate results and minimizing contamination risks. It also reviewed major sterilization methods such as thermal, chemical, and radiation sterilization.
The workshop witnessed active participation from attendees, who emphasized the importance of applying biosafety standards in laboratory work. It concluded by stressing the need to continue holding training courses that contribute to skill development and promote a safe working environment in the college.
