The College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala has launched a modern project to install advanced sprinkler systems in the college gardens, aiming to sustainably irrigate green spaces during the summer, a season during which the province experiences significantly high temperatures.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, explained that the project aims to preserve vegetation cover and enhance the quality of the educational and research environment. He pointed out that the new system will contribute to rationalizing water consumption through smart irrigation technologies, in line with environmental sustainability standards.
He also confirmed that this project is part of a series of college initiatives to support applied scientific research by developing infrastructure and providing a fertile environment for students’ practical training.
