Scientific researchers from the College of Agriculture at the University of Karbala as part of an international research team

A number of teachers in the Department of Plant Protection participated in an international research on a survey of the most important beneficial insects spread in different regions of Iraq, where the professor of insect taxonomy, Dr. Andy Polashk, from the British Natural History Museum, visited with a research team from our college, headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Karim, a number of Governorates to conduct field surveys, including Karbala Governorate and the fields of the College of Agriculture, University of Karbala, in Al-Husseiniyah District.
The research aims to record the most important types of beneficial insects spread in Iraq after confirming their diagnosis in the British Natural History Museum and establishing a database of beneficial and parasitic insects spread in Iraq and the possibility of using them in combating insect pests.
