Within the University of Karbala’s plan to improve the role of university media in all its educational institutions.

Under the patronage of the Honorable President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel Al-Saidi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Agriculture / Acting Professor, the respected Professor Dr. Sabah Ghazi Sharif Al-Agha, the Media and Government Communication Division at the College of Agriculture – University of Karbala organized a training course on the impact of professional photography in the field of media. University campus, in cooperation with the Department of Media at the Holy Abbasid Shrine, and in the presence of a good group of media photographers from some colleges of the University of Karbala.
On the first day of the course, which took place on Sunday, the twenty-first of April 2024, in the Nakheel Hall, it began with a theoretical lecture in which the photographer of the Holy Abbasid Shrine, Professor Samer Khalil Ibrahim, the respected, and the media officials of the College of Agriculture, Assistant Lecturer Ali Abdel Rahim Kazem, and Eng. Agricultural engineer Hussein Muhammad Ali, which reflected the importance of quality documentation and media marketing for universities by promoting professional photography of university activities as an effective tool for media attraction, in addition to his role in documenting events and conveying information quickly, effectively, and effectively. At the end of the first lecture, he recommended to the course participants the necessity of holding such courses. Which reflects the importance of photography in the field of university media.
During the speech of the Dean of the College, in which he welcomed all the participants, he highlighted the importance of the media in directing and transferring university knowledge and culture and building the university identity to enhance communication and interaction among members of the university community through documenting scientific and cognitive events and activities, such as seminars, conferences, cultural and sporting events, and others, through photography, which is one of the ways The most important tools of successful media. It was stated that the other days of the course will witness a practical application of the theoretical lecture, as the practical work is distributed between the corridors of the University of Karbala and its beautiful landmarks on the second day and the corridors of the College of Agriculture on the third day of the course.
