Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, and within the framework of social responsibility and the promotion of human rights values, a delegation from the College of Agriculture at the University of Karbala conducted a field visit to the Ma’dan Al-Rahma Charity Foundation for Orphan Care. The visit was led by the Head of the Human Rights Unit in the College, Lecturer Shahlaa Adel Al-Hasnawi.
The visit aimed to activate the humanitarian role of the academic institution in serving the community by providing both moral and material support to orphans, in alignment with the College’s vision of promoting human rights concepts.
Lecturer Shahlaa Adel Al-Hasnawi emphasized that this initiative is part of a comprehensive program implemented by the Human Rights Unit at the College, which seeks to strengthen the principles of social solidarity and direct academic efforts toward supporting such vulnerable groups in society.
Through these initiatives, the College of Agriculture aims to build bridges of cooperation with charitable institutions and to deepen the sense of social responsibility among faculty and students, in line with the University of Kerbala’s vision of achieving sustainable development and community service.
