The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Kareem, honored Dr. Ahmed Maktoof Faris, Director of the Karbala Sewerage Department, in recognition of his efforts in supporting agricultural development, protecting the environment, and facilitating the college’s research activities at the Karbala transfer station.
The Dean praised the significant role played by the Sewerage Directorate of Karbala in preserving the environment and public health, treating wastewater, purifying organic fertilizer, and providing water for agriculture—particularly for the green belt trees.
Dr. Ahmed Maktoof expressed his gratitude and appreciation for receiving the Shield of Excellence and affirmed the continuation of cooperation between the University of Kerbala and the Directorate in service of the community and the holy city of Karbala.
