As part of efforts to enhance the technical skills of administrative and academic staff, the College of Agriculture – University of Kerbala participated in a workshop organized by the university’s presidency, represented by the Departments of Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Registration and Student Affairs. The workshop focused on the operational mechanisms of the Human Resources (HR) and Student Information System (SIS) programs.
The workshop targeted heads of administrative units, registration units, and IT departments across all university colleges. Representatives from the College of Agriculture took part, underscoring the college’s commitment to modernizing its administrative systems and keeping pace with technological advancements in automation and digital transformation.
The event witnessed active participation from a number of specialists and featured lectures delivered by a select group of academics and experts, including:

The workshop agenda included comprehensive explanations of both systems, along with practical applications that helped enhance participants’ understanding and ability to use the software effectively in managing HR and student affairs.
Dr. Hamed Kattan explained that the HR system had already been implemented, with university staff data uploaded into it. Work is currently ongoing to input student data into the SIS system, paving the way for a fully integrated digital management system.
The College of Agriculture’s participation reflects its dedication to contributing to the university’s comprehensive digital transformation project. It also aligns with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which emphasize the importance of developing the digital competencies of university personnel.
