The College of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala, in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit, held a training workshop entitled “The Role of Education in Achieving Gender Equality.”
The workshop addressed the importance of education as a key driver for achieving gender equality within the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5, which focuses on empowering women and building a society that ensures equal opportunities for all.
It also discussed the role of educational institutions in providing a safe and inclusive learning environment, enhancing female students’ participation at various educational stages, and integrating the concept of equality into curricula.
In conclusion, the college affirmed its commitment to continuing activities that promote the culture of equality and social justice.
