Under the patronage of the University of Kerbala, the College of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit, organized an awareness seminar titled “Poverty Between Challenges and Solutions: A Journey Toward Human Dignity and Sustainable Development.” The seminar aimed to shed light on the economic, social, and educational dimensions of poverty and to clarify its direct impact on human dignity and the right to a decent life.
The seminar addressed the role of agriculture, sustainable development pathways, and the importance of supportive legislation in reducing poverty, considering them essential pillars for societal advancement and the achievement of social justice.
Participants presented a set of scientific insights focusing on providing job opportunities, empowering the community, and supporting the agricultural sector as a key driver of development.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the recommendations emphasized the need to establish practical plans to reduce poverty, enhance social justice, and achieve sustainable development that contributes to improving quality of life.
