Faculty of Agriculture Holds a Seminar on Employing Electronic Counseling to Support Students’ Mental Health

Under the patronage of the esteemed President of the University of Kerbala, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Unit, the Al-Warith Academy for Sustainable Development and Strategic Studies at the Holy Hussaini Shrine, the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the Faculty of Agriculture held an in-person seminar on Sunday, 7/12/2025, titled:
“Using Electronic Counseling in Assessing Psychological Support for University Students.”

The seminar addressed the role of electronic counseling in enhancing mental health among university students and supporting them academically and socially, as one of the modern approaches in university counseling that keeps pace with the digital transformation in educational institutions. It also contributes to developing communication mechanisms between students and psychological and educational counselors.

The seminar aimed to highlight the nature of the psychological, academic, and social pressures that students may encounter during their studies and to clarify the impact of these pressures on academic achievement and adaptation to the university environment. It also emphasized the importance of adopting electronic counseling as an effective tool for monitoring students’ mental well-being and addressing problems that may hinder their academic progress.

The seminar included a review of the role of the Educational and Psychological Counseling Unit at the Faculty of Agriculture through its preventive and therapeutic programs designed to support students and create a healthy academic environment that promotes mental well-being and supports academic success.
