The Department of Food Science at the College of Agriculture, University of Kerbala, held an official meeting chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Haifa Ali Awad, Head of the Department, in the presence of the Department Secretary, Dr. Mahdi Najm Rukheit, and with the participation of the Administrative Assistant, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Amir.
The meeting discussed a number of scientific and administrative issues related to the progress of the educational process, ways to develop academic and research performance within the department, as well as following up on students’ requirements and organizing administrative work in line with the instructions of the University Presidency and the College Deanship.
The meeting also included discussions on preparations for holding the events of Entrepreneurship Week, during which the proposals submitted by faculty members and students were reviewed, along with mechanisms for organizing scientific participation and exhibitions of entrepreneurial projects, in a manner that contributes to enhancing the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among department students.
During the meeting, the Head of the Department emphasized the importance of activating students’ roles in entrepreneurial activities and encouraging creative ideas that meet the needs of society and the labor market, stressing the necessity of cooperation between academic and administrative staff to ensure the success of this event in a manner befitting the status of the College of Agriculture and the University of Kerbala.
