Under the direction of the President of the University of Kerbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, and with the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Karim, the University of Kerbala / College of Agriculture has commenced the construction and تجهيز of greenhouses at the college nursery in the University Campus – Fariha. This project is part of the university’s plan to develop its educational and research infrastructure and to provide an advanced practical environment for students and researchers.
The University President, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, emphasized the importance of this project, noting that it aligns with the university leadership’s vision to strengthen the practical component for students of scientific colleges, expand research opportunities in the agricultural sector, and support the educational process with modern facilities that enhance the quality of education and serve the local community.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Karim, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the project, explaining that the greenhouses will contribute to conducting practical experiments, plant propagation, and studying methods of improving plant production according to modern agricultural techniques. They will also play a role in preparing and training students practically in advanced agricultural technologies.
This initiative comes as part of a series of developmental projects implemented by the University of Karbala to advance its agricultural facilities and meet the needs of students and researchers at the College of Agriculture, in line with its vision to promote education and scientific research and to achieve sustainable development in Karbala Governorate and the surrounding areas.
