As part of the College of Agriculture / University of Kerbala’s efforts to develop students’ practical skills and link theoretical knowledge with practical application, students of the Department of Food Sciences carried out a practical lesson in the Grain Processing course under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Haifa Ali Awad and Lecturer Haneen Fadel, faculty members of the department.
The lesson included the production of homemade bread in the teaching laboratory, in addition to conducting an experiment to estimate the percentage of gluten in flour and identifying the effect of flour quality on the properties of the dough and the final product.
This activity aims to develop students’ practical skills and enhance their scientific understanding, thereby contributing to their preparation and qualification for the labor market in the field of food industries.
At the conclusion of the activity, the College Deanship commended the students’ engagement and academic commitment, wishing them continued success and achievement.
