Dr. Ola Hamza Mahmoud Al-Shammari, a lecturer in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, College of Agriculture, University of Kerbala, has published a scientific research paper in a peer-reviewed journal entitled:

(Effect of Biofertilization and Nano-Fertilization on the Growth and Productivity of Spring Potato Crop)

The study investigated the effect of biofertilization and nano-fertilization on improving the growth and productivity of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) through a field experiment conducted during the spring season.

The results demonstrated the superiority of certain treatments, particularly the combined application of biofertilizers (bacterial and fungal) and nano-fertilizers, in enhancing germination rate, plant height, chlorophyll content, tuber weight, and total yield.

The study highlights the importance of adopting modern and environmentally friendly fertilization technologies to increase agricultural production and reduce reliance on chemical fertilizers.

The research was published in the SABRAO Journal of Breeding and Genetics.
