Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kerbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Karim, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Agriculture organized an in-person scientific seminar entitled (Working Women’s Rights and Social Security).
The seminar aims to introduce the rights of working women guaranteed by law in the workplace and to clarify the concept of social security and its importance in protecting female workers and ensuring their professional and living future.
It also seeks to spread legal awareness among working women about their rights and duties in government institutions and the private sector, and to introduce the benefits provided by social security such as retirement, compensation, and maternity leave.
This seminar comes within the framework of promoting a culture of justice and equality in employment opportunities between women and men in accordance with the applicable laws.
